This is the right place where to learn about the life, impressions and inspirations of the choir conductor Haralds Mednis (1906–2000) and his love for song. Visitors can also feel the magic of the Song Celebration, listen to choir repertoire, step in the shoes of the great conductor and try out conducting themselves, look back at the history of the Song Celebration, and, of course, sing something!
In one of the exhibition rooms you will find “The Cabinet of Song Celebration”, which contains materials about the Celebration, memories of participants and songs. The purpose of the Song Celebration School is to give another life to this historical place so that it could gather people from all around to educate and familiarise them with this rich and inspiring heritage of choir music and the culture of song and dance celebration. We would truly appreciate if you could donate your souvenirs from Song Celebration (like song books or badges).
