Jaundilmaņi – Museum of the Medical Professor A. Bieziņš
The family house of A. Bieziņš (1897 – 1975), the founder of Latvian children's surgery. The museum is a branch of the P. Stradiņš Museum of the History of Medicine.
The Memorial Museum is based on materials of the Museum’s collections, supplemented by memorial objects (medical instruments, books, manuscripts, photographs, paintings, awards) provided by the family, colleagues, students, and patients of the professor A. Bieziņš. The exhibition reflects the scientific, practical and pedagogical work of A. Bieziņš.
The work of the professor A. Bieziņš was multi-faced: children's surgery, operative surgery, traumatology and orthopedics, medical fitness and sports medicine. A. Bieziņš created an important scientific school.
